More touring shows to come to San Diego

For the past 40 years, Broadway San Diego has featured quality productions, and now as a part of an international company, San Diego will reap the rewards by having some of the best touring shows out of New York perform locally.

The season for 2017-2018 started with a bang this fall with "An American in Paris," followed by "The Little Mermaid" and most recently, "Cinderella," which offered a "contemporary take on a classic tale... with jaw dropping transformations – the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball and more – along with surprising new twists."

Coming soon, the Civic Center will see "Motown the Musical," Dec. 24 through Dec. 31; "Hamilton," Jan. 6 through Jan. 28; "Dirty Dancing," Feb. 9 through Feb. 11; "Stomp," March 2 through March 4; "Lover Never Dies, The Phantom Returns," March 27 through April 1; "Les Miserables," May 29 through June 3; "School of Rock," Jun 12 through June 17; "The Ben Vereen Awards," May 27; "The King and I," June 26 through July 1; "On Your Feet," the Emilio and Gloria Estefan story, July 31 through Aug. 5 and "The Phantom of the Opera," Aug. 23 through Sep. 2.
