Residents impacted by the Lilac fire may now apply for federal disaster assistance.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has three loans available. Application deadlines are March 16 for loans involving physical damage and Oct. 15 for loans involving economic injury. Business Physical Disaster Loans help businesses repair disaster damaged property. Economic Injury Disaster Loans provide working capital to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small aquaculture businesses, and most private non-profits. Lastly, Home Disaster Loans help homeowners or renters repair or replace disaster-damaged real estate and personal property, including automobiles.

Terms are for a maximum of 30 years for loans up to $ 2 million, and rates range from 1.75% for home loans to 3.385% for business and small agricultural cooperatives.

To apply, first register with FEMA at: https://www.disasterassistance.gov/ and then to apply for an SBA loan online, go to: https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela
