House catches fire in Rainbow

RAINBOW -- A house on the 3000 block of Rainbow Valley Blvd. in Rainbow caught fire Tuesday afternoon and sparked a small vegetation fire that was under control as of 3:15 p.m., according to John Choi of North County Fire. The fire was out at 3:30 p.m., according to a North County Fire tweet.

Choi said neighboring houses had been threatened by the fire but firefighters were able to protect them. Six units from North County Fire were on the scene and they received assistance from Cal Fire, Camp Pendleton Fire, and Pala Fire.

Choi said he didn't know the extent of the damage to the house that burned.
