Margaret Ann Wasicka Johnson

Margaret Ann Wasicka Johnson, died about 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018. She was the loving wife of 48 years to Jeff, the devoted mother of Chad and Melissa and the doting grammy to five grandchildren. She was an Illinois State University alumna, a flight attendant, a soprano extraordinaire, a baker and a theater tour organizer.

She was voted Miss Sweet Applewood, in her hometown of Cudahy, Wisconsin, as a senior in high school. After attending Alverno College and Illinois State University as a vocal major, she went on to work as a United Airlines flight attendant.

Jeff and Margie married in 1970; they moved 13 times in 12 years, pursuing a navy career. The adventure took them from one end of the country to the other, ending up in the San Diego area. They raised their family in Escondido and resided in Bonsall.

An avid participant in several community choirs, Margie was very active with many friends, book club, entertaining and her grandchildren's extracurricular activities. She made a very positive impact on many people.

In addition to Jeff, Margie is survived by her daughter, Melissa Reinard; son Chad (Dorothy) Johnson, and grandchildren Delainy, Abigail and Oliver Reinard and Samantha and Jedidiah Johnson.

A memorial service will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, May 4, at Mission San Antonio De Pala, in Pala, California.
