Gas prices continue to climb in San Diego County

SAN DIEGO - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose three-tenths of a cent today to $3.658, the fourth increase in six days following a stretch of 27 decreases in 29 days.

The average price is three-tenths of a cent less than a week ago and 8.4 cents lower than one month ago but 76.9 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 53.6 cents since the start of the year.

The run of 27 decreases in 29 days ended Saturday with an increase of one-tenth of a cent. It also rose three-tenths of a cent on Sunday and one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday while dropping three-tenths of a cent on Monday and being unchanged on Wednesday.
