Saint John's Episcopal Church elects vestry

St. John’s Parish (Episcopal) of Fallbrook recently elected a new vestry to serve for the next three years. Those elected were Dale New, Senior Warden; Dick Goodlake, Junior Warden; Patti Campbell, Clerk; and Carol Pearson, Treasurer. Other members elected, who will provide oversight on the many activities that St. John’s is involved in, are: Gale and Steve Jones, Kathy Wood, Keith Goard and Dr. Bob Watson.

St. John’s has been in Fallbrook since 1891, first as a mission and then as a parish, so designated in 1972. St. John’s will use the facilities at All Saints Episcopal Church along with the congregations of All Saints and St. Anne’s until a facility in Fallbrook is obtained in the fall. The Right Reverend James Mathes, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego, has charged the vestry for the coming year with sharing Christian hope, ministering to at-risk children and promoting lifelong Christian learning.

Those who want to worship with them should contact Dick Goodlake at (760) 723-0633 or Dale New (760) 723-1608 or write to PO Box 1576, Fallbrook, CA 92088. All are welcome. The church is 30 parishioners strong with well over 200 years of association with St. John’s collectively, and they’re growing by the day.
