Stage Coach Sunday Oct. 8

On Sunday, October 8, beside the old windmill on Stage Coach Lane visitors will find an authentic miniature stagecoach and wagons drawn by California Elite Petite ponies. It’s time again for Fallbrook Land Conservancy to host its favorite fundraising fiesta, Stage Coach Sunday! A delicious pit BBQ dinner, live music by Gordon Stone’s “Stone House Band,” a wild animal show and a Halloween costume contest will be the featured events.

From 1 to 5 p.m. there will be family fun for everyone. Youngsters will enjoy buckboard rides, a party jump, pumpkin decorating and face painting, plus a Halloween costume contest for different age categories. Mollie Hogan’s popular “Nature of Wildworks” educational animal show is back by popular demand.

This year’s “Shopper’s Dream” silent auction and raffle will include hundreds of items, including beach and river house vacations, golf resort packages, living trusts, original paintings, dental treatments, Disneyland tickets and much more.

The event is held at the Palomares House, 1815 South Stage Coach Lane, Fallbrook (one mile east of Fallbrook High School). Community National Bank is the major sponsor. Sponsor packages are on sale from the Fallbrook Land Conservancy and all funds go toward the continued development and maintenance of the Land Conservancy’s eight preserves, trails and open space, totaling more than 700 acres for present and future generations to enjoy.

Admission is free. Tickets are available in advance for the BBQ dinner, which will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. For more information, call the Fallbrook Land Conservancy office at (760) 728-0889.
