Boy Scout Troop at Zion Lutheran

FALLBROOK — Zion Lutheran Church in Fallbrook is now host to Boy Scout Troop 739. This troop is headed up by tenured Scoutmaster Mark Witzel.

Troop 739 welcomes all boys 10 ½ years or older to join. All interested boys and their parents are invited to attend the group’s meetings to learn more about the Scouts and Troop 739. The meetings are on Mondays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church at 1405 East Fallbrook Street.

The Boy Scouts of America helps boys grow into respectable young men with good leadership skills. It prepares these boys for life by focusing on personal development through planning and fun outdoor activities. Boy Scouts learn the skills they need to succeed in life, make friends and, above all, have fun. Those who achieve Eagle Scout often have an edge when applying for college as well as in the workplace.

This year’s optional activities for Troop 739 include kayaking at Mission Bay, canoeing on the Colorado River, hiking in the local mountains, camping at Del Mar Beach and backpacking in the Sierras.

For further information, come to a meeting or contact Scoutmaster Witzel at (760) 500-8902 or [email protected] or Chairperson Joanie Kraus at (760) 723-6185 or [email protected].
