Kenneth W. Barnes

Kenneth W. Barnes, 67, passed away on September 29, 2006. He was born on March 19, 1939, in Columbia, SC. Mr. Barnes was a resident of Fallbrook, CA, for seven years.

Mr. Barnes worked for Coberly Ford Dealership for 23 years and owned a Goodyear Tire Center in Anaheim for 21 years before retiring in 1998. He served in the US Army, was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Community, was the current exalted ruler of the Vista Elks Lodge and served two terms as commander of the Midway City VFW Post.

Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by parents George & Annie Barnes and brother Charles Barnes. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Eileen Barnes, Fallbrook, CA; mother-in-law Edith Werbeck, Syracuse, NY; stepdaughter & husband Tracy & Ernest Smothers, Corona, CA; daughters & sons-in-law Connie & Joe Babineau, Winterville, GA, and Janice & Harold Hall, Laguna Hills, CA; stepsons & stepdaughters-in-law Jerry & Andrea Clisson, Ananeim, CA, and John & Susie Clisson, Garden Grove, CA; brother & sister-in-law George & Rose Barnes, Phoenix, AZ; 23 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Services were held on October 4, 2006, with inurnment at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery with military honors. A memorial service and reception was held at the Vista Elks Lodge after inurnment. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
