Elect who?

It should be the goal of every registered voter, whether Independent, Democrat or Republican, to first understand what his or her vote will mean and who will see your wish might be granted. We are deluged now (again) with colorful mailers, fanciful ads on television and additional ads on radio, to say nothing about the “propaganda” in most of our newspapers and magazines. In particular, in the last three or four elections Talk Radio has played a prominent role. But after all the ranting of how our tax money will be used, will it still go into the pork barrel as so much has in the last 50 to 70 years? You can bet it will if we each do not vote with care.

Most of us have (usually) stayed with the political party of our parents, as have I. That is not to say we are always pleased with how that representative voted. That is the time for us to carefully select a new set of brains in Washington.

Lastly, ask yourself, “Who among those in Washington, DC, stood up to the ranting and ridicule of Chavez in his mockery of America?” Well, most of us know which people are almost following the raving of Chavez. Are they good Americans? I think not. Let us replace them! It is up to us.
