Perhaps my questions were very pointed

The intimation that I received some privileged information concerning my remarks to the Fallbrook Union High School District board meeting September 25 is categorically false. The only person I spoke to concerning references in my comments was Fran White, an actual participant in these private meetings. Fran did not in any way give me direct information about this meeting. I did make some suppositions, and those did make it into the address to the board. When the public is in the dark, we do sometimes try to figure out what is occurring. Perhaps my questions were very pointed, and an embarrassment to some on the board, but when the board discusses alleged items during these supposed closed sessions that have no business being on such an agenda, then much is left open for conjecture and disputation.

It is obvious by Jim Hutcherson’s comments in this article that he has no desire to run a positive campaign on the merits of the issues. For him to have the audacity to point a finger at other board members as possibly violating the confidentiality of closed sessions is appalling. I did speak to Lynn Colburn on the telephone for quite some time recently; does this action implicate him? No board member — in fact, no one in the community — has directly talked to me recently concerning contract negotiations. I would have gladly given to any reporter from the Village News a copy of my remarks made to the board if he or she had asked for it.
