Mary Jane Wannebo Lindskog

Mary Jane Wannebo Lindskog passed away at her home in Fallbrook, CA, on Tuesday, September 19, 2006. Mary Jane and her identical twin sister Shirley Ann (Boostrom) were born on February 20, 1926, at the Lion Inn Hospital in Chicago, IL. Shirley lives in San Marcos, CA.

On September 20, 1945, Mary married Harvey William Wannebo in St. Paul, MN. They lived in Grand Marais and Minneapolis and moved to California in 1951, later moving to Fallbrook in 1966. Mary started the Welcome Wagon in 1969 and formed the Newcomers Club. In 1975 she became a Realtor and worked until retiring in 1986. Mary was a member of the Community Baptist Church since 1969. She had also belonged to the Nine Hole Golfers since its inception in 1970.

After her first husband’s death Mary married Vernon Lindskog. Mary enjoyed gardening, traveling, golf and spending summers in Grand Marias, MN, and fall/winter in Fallbrook.

Mary was preceded in death by husband Harvey Wannebo, infant daughter Barbara Gail Wannebo and husband Vernon Lindskog. She is survived by her sister Shirley Boostrom; sons Donald (Susan) Wannebo and Jack Wannebo; grandchildren Lisa (Travis) Orback, Kirste, Erik, Kurt (Serena), Philip and Angela Wannebo; nephews Gary and Pete Boostrom; and stepchildren Curt Lindskog and Vernette Hajek.

Services will be held on October 14, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Baptist Church in Fallbrook, CA, with a reception to follow. Internment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Grand Marais, MN.
