AAUW Mahjong tournament Oct. 20

It’s that time again: time for another American Association of University Women (AAUW) mahjong tournament. On Friday, October 20, the doors to the Fallbrook Public Utility District building on 990 East Mission Road will be open at 12:30 p.m. to all those eager Mahjong players.

The fee for playing is $10 and all proceeds will go to the AAUW’s Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund. Included in the price, of course, are wonderful snacks and beverages prepared by AAUW members. Another beautiful quilt made by Araxy Moosa will be one of the many prizes offered along with certificates to local and nearby restaurants, golf courses and general merchandise and services.

Play will begin at 1:00 p.m. but reservations must be made by October 16 by calling Araxy at (760) 723-2262 or Barbara Loehnert at (760) 723-0357. Don’t delay, as the tables of four fill up quickly.
