FVCC donates to Reche Club

FALLBROOK — Monty Voigt, president of the Fallbrook Vintage Car Club (FVCC), attended a recent board meeting of the Reche Club at Reche School to present a donation check from the Car Club to Reche Club President Pat Nye and Past President Margaret Ray.

Longtime supporters of the Reche Club, Pat and her husband, Phil, drive from Romoland several times a month to help with club activities that support the 19th century schoolhouse on Live Oak Park Road. This area was old Fall Brook before the town center moved to the current village area that is now Fallbrook. The school continued until 1939, when the last class graduated, and the sole graduate was Margaret Hindorff Ray. She is an ardent supporter of the school’s presence and has long served on the Reche Club board of directors.

The board meeting included last-minute planning for the annual pot-pie supper, this year to be Saturday, October 28. Tickets are sold in advance and are always a sellout because of the quality of the food, the friendly and informal atmosphere and the family-oriented price.
