'Book Lovers' a great gift idea

FALLBROOK — Friends of the Fallbrook Library announce “Book Lovers,” a new program to honor people who love books and the people who love them.

Book Lovers offers opportunities for gift-giving to commemorate a special event, birthday, graduation or the memory of an individual whose passion for reading will live forever. Private and personal, or public and with fanfare, Book Lovers offers a special way to honor an individual as well as donate to the work of the Friends of the Fallbrook Library who make the program possible.

For as little as $25, donors can name a genre, book title or author of a book they’d like the library to purchase, then select one of two attractive bookplates to be placed inside the book that recognizes the individual whose choice it commemorates. For an even larger donation, a book of great value or collection is possible. The Book Lovers program also offers an opportunity for individuals to merely purchase books for the library and remembers their donations with a special bookplate that simply states the selection is purchased as a gift with the donor’s name added.

Donors can also arrange for a brief ceremony when the library staff and a representative of the Friends of the Fallbrook Library formally apply the commemorative book plate.

To arrange for a special commemorative gift, donation or find out more about Book Lovers, call Anne, Memorial Chair, Friends of the Fallbrook Library, at (760)728-7828.
