Enjoy pot pie dinner at historic schoolhouse

The annual Chicken Pot Pie Dinner at the Reche Schoolhouse will be held on Saturday, October 28. This is sponsored by the Reche Community Club. Members are volunteers dedicated to the upkeep of the grounds and as well as one of the oldest one-room schools in San Diego County. The club has two fundraisers a year to help maintain the property.

Dinners are at 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. Indicate which mealtime you prefer when obtaining your tickets. The cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children under 12. The schoolhouse is located at 1319 Live Oak Park Road. The menu consists of chicken pot pie, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, vegetables, roll, butter, lemonade or coffee. Dessert consists of various pies and — new this year — cake as well.

Tickets can be obtained from any member or by calling Mildred Straight at (760) 728-3607 or Doris Ham at (760) 728-9790. Major Market is selling them as well.

The dinner has become a community tradition in which many participate year after year. Take time to join us for a delicious dinner and a visit to a Fallbrook treasure. We prepare take-out meals also.
