Celebrated pianist John Novacek performs recital in Fallbrook

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook Music Society proudly presents international concert pianist, John Novacek on Sunday October 29 at 3:00 p.m., at Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts. Mr. Novacek has toured frequently across Asia, Europe and North America as a solo recitalist, chamber musician and concert soloist. In the latter capacity he has presented over thirty different concerti with dozens of orchestras. A much sought-after collaborative artist, John has performed with Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell and Leila Josefowicz. He has given numerous world premieres and has performed in venues from the Kennedy Center to the Hollywood Bowl and from Suntory Hall in Tokyo to the Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris.

In his Fallbrook program, Novacek will perform:

Mozart: Rondo in A minor, K.511

Beethoven: Sonata No. 31 in A flat, Op. 110

Liszt: Hungarian Rhapsody No. 14

Rameau: Gavotte and Six Doubles

Granados: Quejas o la maja y el ruiseñor

Ginastera: Danzas Argentinas

Novacek: Three Rags (original ragtime compositions)

“We are delighted to have John return to Fallbrook for an encore performance,” says Brenda Montiel, President of Fallbrook Music Society “he dazzled our audience two years ago with his rendition of a Beethoven Concerto and made a hit with the listeners in his solo ragtime encores.”

Novacek has composed many original ragtime pieces for piano, and for piano and violin. He has written arrangements for the Three Tenors and pop singer, Diana Ross. He has played on radio broadcasts world-wide, and is often heard on syndicated programs such as NPR’s “Performance Today,” and has been a featured performer on many television shows including the Tonight Show and Entertainment Tonight.

For this concert, Fallbrook Music Society is pleased to introduce its Music for Teens Project - one of the many outreach programs offered designed to give older music students a better understanding of the skills of classical musicians. This unique program provides those involved with their school music program or private instruction a unique opportunity to connect with, and be inspired by, some of the world’s best national and international musicians.
