Hummingbird authority to speak at Garden Club

FALLBROOK — Marion Stacey of Chula Vista has been rescuing hummingbirds for 21 years. She is considered the authority on these beautiful tiny creatures. The very interesting and entertaining Ms. Stacey will be speaking at the Fallbrook Garden Club’s October general meeting on hummingbirds’ nesting habits and share some of her experiences in rescuing them. The meeting will be held Tuesday, October 24, at 1:00 p.m. at the Fallbrook Community Center located at 341 Heald Lane.

Miriam Rutz, retired university professor of landscape architecture, will be the featured speaker at the Fallbrook Garden Club’s October evening section meeting. Ms. Rutz will speak on the history of garden styles and, specifically, “integrating your garden and home styles.” The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, at the Fallbrook Public Utility District Conference Room at 990 East Mission Road.
