'Dream Team' shares joy with youth group

FALLBROOK — The ‘Dream Team’ from South Africa visited Fallbrook last week and shared their message of Christian joy with local youth groups. At Fallbrook Presbyterian Church and Christ The King Lutheran Church, large crowds turned out to enjoy the message and participate in a dance celebration with the group.

The most fascinating aspect to these two nights of worship hosted at Fallbrook Presbyterian Church and Christ the King Lutheran Church was that the youth of Fallbrook were lead by other youth from South Africa on a short-term mission trip to the United States.

“We have seen your television shows, movies, listened to your music and seen the music videos… we know that God was leading us to minister to young people in the United States” they told us.

The group from South Africa, known as the “Dream Team”, is between the ages of 17 – 27 years old have been trained, discipled and equipped for leading others in worship. Their combination of rhythmic ministry dances, praise and worship music, energy and testimonies of reconciliation and freedom in Christ set an incredible example of responding to God in worship for the American youth.

The first evening of worship culminated in more than 30-minutes of student led prayer clusters focusing on family, school, California, the United States and world missions.

The Dream Team ministered to Jr. High and High School students at two different worship services each night and also ministered on the High School campus at Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Warriors for Christ (two student lead campus clubs).
