Last updated 10/20/2006 at Noon

Fallbrook Hospital’s flu shot clinic has been scheduled for Thursday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Joslyn Senior Center in Fallbrook. The vaccines are recommended for people who are at high risk of getting the flu based on the guidelines outlined by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control). Those groups include adults age 50 and older, people with chronic medical problems such as heart disease and asthma, women who are pregnant, and care-givers and health-care workers who work directly with patients. There is no charge for the vaccine, and it will be given on a first-come first-serve basis. The preservative-free vaccine which is now required for pregnant women and vaccines for children under the age of 9 will not be offered. The Senior Center is located at 399 Heald Lane, Fallbrook.
