FHS Class of 1956 holds 50-year reunion

FALLBROOK — Classmates from the Fallbrook High School Class of 1956 held their 50-year reunion on Saturday, September 30, at San Luis Rey Downs Country Club. Forty classmates and their guests traveled from as far west as England as far east as Oklahoma, Wisconsin and North Carolina to attend the gala event. Attendees relished the opportunity to once again visit with old friends that some had not seen since graduation. A moment of silence was held to remember the 17 known fallen Warriors.

The Class of 1956 was the last class to graduate from the old high school on Iowa and Ivy Street, which now houses the elementary school district offices and Boys & Girls club. There were 77 in the graduating class and a total of approximately 300 in the school at that time. The next year the new high school opened at is present site on Stage Coach Lane.
