Legacy Foundation checks on grants distributed

Legacy Endowment, The Community Foundation, recently visited the Elderlink Senior Center in Escondido to attend their fundraiser, “Western Round-Up of Family and Friends,” and to verify the use of the $16,500 in funds granted from Legacy to the facility for the year 2004-2005. The funds were used to renovate Elderlink’s indoor pool. Legacy board member Wil Gower and executive director Tina Rainey performed their due diligence for the grant provided by the Elisabeth Wilson Endowment for Senior Causes. Elderlink was so delighted with the funds they received that they placed a sign above the pool house door naming Legacy Endowment as the benefactor.

Elderlink is a senior care facility that has provided services to older adults for 25 years. It specializes in providing daytime health and recreational programs for cognitively impaired, frail and disabled adults.
