Wayne Cokeley releases new Music CD

Wayne Cokeley released a demo this week called "Space Between." The music is an original mix of praise and rock. A sample of songs can be found at http://www.waynecokeley.com. A second CD is expected this Spring.

Cokeley said, "I hope the melodies will allow the themes to play over and over, so the truth of who we are will stay in focus. While some people can just enjoy the music, I'm hoping that others who are struggling with issues and feel like failures will be encouraged. The message I am conveying is the truth of the gospel (good news) and that what Christ did for you and I is a finished work. We are free. Not because of what we do, but because of whose we are. Free from those things that seem to have a power over us. We need to allow Him to fill our minds with His thoughts. I have found them to be much less condeming than I'd expected, full of understanding, hope, and grace. Just as a loving father should be."

While this is not the first CD for Cokeley, it is the first work that he has produced in about a decade. "I've been busy with important things like raising a family. Now that things have calmed down a bit, I'm getting back to my music. It's great to be writing, singing and playing again!"

Wayne was lead singer for a Christian rock band "No Limit" in the early 90's. No Limit traveled and spent time leading praise and worship at churches in Oklahoma City and Southern California for youth groups, festivals, and all types of concerts. His venues now include restaurants, bars and gatherings of all types, and he still spends at least one night a week leading music for his local church.

How is different today? "While I typically perform by myself outside of church venues, I now have the joy of playing with my family in church. My kids are wonderful musicians, both with vocals and instruments. They may far surpass me someday and that's just great. For now we enjoy playing together, whether it's in the living room or in front of church."

"It is a little different this time—but that's OK. There seems to be direction in blessing after blessing, whether I'm playing for churches or by myself before a God that is more real than ever. It's awesome. I'm diggin' it."
