The 75/25 Diet: How to be thin for life and still eat what you love

FALLBROOK — There is a new way of eating in town! It is based on years of nutritional research about how the body processes food and stores toxins in the fat cells of the body, and what it takes to get the body to shed that fat and dump out the toxins without making us ill. After researching this subject extensively and putting what he learned into practice for himself, and because he got so many requests from people who saw the pounds melt off of him earlier this year, Michael Cone put all of his knowledge together in an easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to follow pamphlet.

Many of you know Michael Cone as the organic farmer who ran Organic Planet Farms CSA (a membership farm) up in Fallbrook, CA, from 1997 through 2003. Michael is one of those people who had always struggled with his weight. Throughout the years he tried to lose weight through exercise and many different diets. He tried becoming an organic vegetarian, then a vegan, but even after he became an organic farmer and worked seven days a week doing hard physical labor and eating a greater variety of organic fruits and vegetables than most people have even heard of, he still could not lose weight and keep it off.

When Michael injured his knee in December of 2001 and finally had to have a knee replacement surgery in November of 2002, he gained still more weight. At only 5’6” he topped out at 230 pounds! He was morbidly obese. Soon after he was diagnosed as having asthma, osteoporosis and severe degenerative osteoarthritis, Type II Diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure, excess stomach acid, and suffered from constant indigestion and bloating. It became clear that he had to lose his excess weight and get off all of the medications he was forced to take as a result of these weight-related illnesses as soon as possible.

He’s not alone with these problems. In America today there is a looming health crisis. Recent studies show that currently over 60 percent of Americans are considered obese and this problem is growing at an ever-increasing rate among all age groups.

Why is it that despite there being a vast array of diet and exercise plans available this problem continues to grow? Could it be because most of them ask you to give up the things you love or require more time and effort from you than you are willing to give?

What we need is a new approach. A new nutritional lifestyle that allows you to be thin for life and still eat what you love. The 75/25 Diet is that new and revolutionary approach to this problem. It focuses on balancing the foods you eat so that you can enjoy the things you love and still lose weight.

In his pamphlet, Michael tells his story and shows how and why he was able to lose 77 pounds and no longer has diabetes or high blood pressure, is off all anti-inflammatory and pain medications, is slowly recovering from his osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, is off of the medications for indigestion and excess stomach acid, and is steadily bringing down his cholesterol levels without medications.

This pamphlet contains an explanation of the reasons your body refuses to release its fat and keep it off, a few simple practices to implement this in your life, detailed food charts, a 10-step weight loss plan, cooking tips, and sample meals. There is even a chart to keep track of your own weight loss and measurements as you become the thin, beautiful person you were intended to be.
