Kevin Jeffries speaks to Village Rotary

FALLBROOK — Kevin Jeffries spoke to the Fallbrook Village Rotary Club earlier this month. He is running as the Republican for the 66th State Assembly District, which includes Fallbrook. He spent must of his time talking about gerrymandering, which causes the 66th District to start at Highway 10 to the north and meanders all the way to Highway 8 on the south. Jefferies said he paid approximately $300,000 to win his primary, when it is common to cost up to a half million dollars.

Of the 80 seats up for election for two-year terms this November only five seats are considered competitive and could go either way. Jeffries expects his district, however, will be solid Republican.
