Metzler achieves Eagle Scout

Joshua Kenneth Metzler and his parents, Ken and Lisa Metzler of Fallbrook, are pleased to announce that Joshua advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout on Tuesday, August 21. Joshua, a member of Boy Scout Troop 755, is a 14-year-old freshman at Fallbrook High School.

Joshua has earned the respect of Scoutmaster George Corn, the leaders in his troop and his fellow Scouts. He has held the position of Troop Senior Patrol Leader for more than three terms and earned over 21 merit badges and six of Scouting’s Special Awards. For his Eagle Project, Joshua planned and oversaw the creation of Sullivan Memorial Garden, which stands in the center of Sullivan Middle School in Bonsall. This enduring project will enhance the Sullivan campus for many years to come. What is more, it brings honor to Tom McGuinness, a local man who was a pilot on the 9-11 flight.
