On November 2, the Fallbrook Quilt Guild will have the honor of having Lujean Seagal as their guest lecturer. Lujean is a quiltmaker, teacher and textile designer who has had a number of her quilts at the Houston International Quilt Show and The Road to California in 2003 and 2004.
This meeting will especially appeal to quilters who have been in a quandary wondering how to put the finishing borders on their quilts to make them look extra special. The Thursday night meeting starts at 6:30 at the Community Center on Heald Lane, off Fallbrook Street.
The workshop on Saturday, November 4, is from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Fallbrook Public Utility District. The purpose of the workshop is to explore the wide variety of borders that can enhance quilts. Borders are the hidden factor in creating a pleasing quilt.
The meeting and workshop are for members and guests are always welcome to both. For more information, please call Laura Small at (760) 728-1421.
