Last 'Meet the Author' event featuring Farnbach, Curran

The Bottom Shelf bookstore will host the last of its “Meet the Author” events on Saturday, November 4, beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Rebecca Farnbach and Marvin Curran, co-authors of “Images of America: Temecula” and “Images of America: Murrieta.” Ms. Farnbach is currently working on “Images of America: Fallbrook,” which will be published sometime next spring. The authors will have books available for sale and signing and will answer questions and/or discuss their subjects.

“Temecula” traces the city as a center of commerce in the 19th century near the junction of the Temecula and Murrieta creeks and a stop along the Southern Emigrant Trail and Butterfield Stage route to what it is today — the home of more than 90,000 people.

The bookstore currently has an excellent selection of Christmas cards (single cards with envelopes — traditional, religious and humorous) and “stocking stuffers” (small books of poetry, inspirational quotations, humor, etc.). The Bottom Shelf will also join the downtown merchants in offering special shopping hours on Sundays, November 26, December 3, 10 and 17, between 1 and 4 p.m. Starting Sunday, November 26, the annual Holiday Boutique will be open, featuring gift-quality books of all types.

The Bottom Shelf, located on the lower level of the library at 124 South Mission, is operated by Friends of the Fallbrook Library and all proceeds benefit the library and its programs. Regular hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For information call (760) 728-3835.
