Mahjong tourney sponsored by University Women

FALLBROOK — On October 20, the American Association of University Women (AAUW) held a mahjong tournament as a scholarship fundraiser. About 60 players gathered at Fallbrook Public Utility District for this fun afternoon event. Refreshments were served at tables decorated by Cinda Burke with an autumn/Halloween theme. The grand winner and top scorer was Beverly Carr.

There were many prizes for players plus a huge raffle handled by Marilee Ragland dressed in a beautiful Russian Folk costume of her own creation. The last raffle prize was a beautiful Christmas quilt handmade by Tournament Chairperson Araxy Moosa.
