Voting is a privilege

Admittedly partisan as I am, a lifelong Republican, I am deeply concerned President Bush has sided with his stand re: “illegal residents” in our nation. In effect he is supporting the insufferable Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer and that whole liberal crowd. He is wrong!

A few House Republicans have turned moderate, and that is bad, but we should all recognize that the only reason the amnesty crowd in the Senate lost out was because the Republican House prevailed and did not allow the vote! Be glad, otherwise the 12 to 20 million illegals would be clamoring for amnesty and, according to Democratic persuasion, at least the first five million would be eligible to vote now! There is a disaster waiting to happen. The only way to avoid that in our immediate future is to vote the liberals out, and that means both parties!

We all know war is hell and the loss of any of our men and women in Iraq or Afghanistan is heartrending, but these two problems face us all in this election: “Iraq and Border Crashers” that are the two biggest problems in the free world. All of the advertisements we see hourly on TV is a mix of truth and fiction; letters to the editor reflect the same, but I have to vote my party line to maintain the power in Congress to win the war and reverse the trend of liberalism that seems to be overwhelming us.

Don’t forget 9/11, as it is still the focal point of what our real danger is: World domination by people who want to kill us!
