Welcome to our place in the village

Please let me introduce myself. Have you recently relocated to the village? Did you join a medical group or local business? Just passing through?

We in small businesses get so busy with our operations sometimes we don’t think about those who are new to our town. We let the welcome wagon greet you or hope you find us in the phonebook or hear about us in line at the grocery store.

We put our ads in the paper with the hope to be seen in the crowd.

Well, this week I am reminded, if you want something done right do it yourself. I am Dominick of Dominick’s Delicatessen on the south end of town in Peppertree Village.

I have owned and operated Dominick’s with my father (now retired) for 23 and a half years. We started in 1983 with 800 square feet and have grown to a comfortable 2,400 square feet. To begin, let me tell you what we believe has made us a local institution, a fixture in the village.

Dominick’s is an authentic Chicago-style delicatessen, a market for all of your gourmet needs, from pasta and prosciutto to tomatoes from Italy and olive oils. And fresh Italian bread as well as a full line of Italian cookies and appetizers. These make us a market and gourmet grocer.

Our sandwiches, however, are what set us apart and have made Dominick’s number one in North County for the best sandwiches west of Chicago. Fresh meatballs made by hand daily. My mother’s recipes for spaghetti sauce and all her salad secrets for rainbow pasta, coleslaw, macaroni and caprese are what I hope will make each of your families into our new generation of deli customers. Please stop in and introduce yourself or just be an anonymous sandwich sampler.

We are open seven days a week at 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., 6 p.m. on Sunday. For all of our regulars and irregulars, the road south is fixed; come say hi and grab lunch. Again, welcome to Fallbrook from a small business guy.
