AAUW Tea and Brunch Nov. 11

Dr. Carole Banks will be the speaker at the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Educational Foundations and Legal Advocacy Tea and Brunch. Dr. Banks, a former recipient of an EF award, is currently the Director of Women’s Health Research at the La Jolla Institute for Molecular Medicine. She will speak about the current research her team is working on and how the EF award from AAUW assisted her in reaching her goals. The Fallbrook branch of AAUW has a yearly fund drive to raise money for women seeking postgraduate studies via the Educational Foundations. The LAF funds support women who require legal assistance to fight injustices in hiring practices.
