How Palomar Observatory explores the universe

On Thursday, November 9, at 7 p.m. at the Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society Museum, Scott Kardel will give an informative and inspiring talk on the latest discoveries made at Palomar Observatory. He will explain the techniques used to capture images of new dwarf planets in the solar system. Scott is currently educating the public about the studies undertaken by Palomar astronomers, curbing the growing problem of light pollution and creating a vigorous public outreach program.
