Be a Santa to needy seniors

Home Instead Care is proud to provide an opportunity to give needy seniors joy for Christmas. Many seniors in nursing and care facilities have very little to look forward for the holidays. Paul Dzuiban, owner of North San Diego County Home Instead Care Company, is joining with hundreds of other agencies across the US to provide a system for others to become Santas to seniors.

Each North County Wal-Mart store will have a Christmas tree for the program from the week of November 18 to December 19. Each participating senior will have a tag on the tree listing a desired present. Community members may then choose a tag and purchase the present specified, then place the present under the tree. The tags will be provided by local nonprofits, which will pick up the presents and deliver them to the seniors in time for Christmas.

The presents will be packaged at the San Marcos Senior Center on December 19. Anyone wishing to help with the wrapping is encouraged to call (760) 639-6427. Participation in this project will help bring joy to seniors who may otherwise feel forgotten during the holidays.
