Budweiser Clydesdales to appear in Christmas Parade

FALLBROOK — The big day is just around the corner and the excitement is rising! On December 2 at 5 p.m. on Main Avenue the Budweiser Clydesdales, Parade Grand Marshal Darwin East, dazzling vintage cars and awe-inspiring floats, groups composed of many familiar participants and a record-breaking eight marching bands are all set to participate in the 25th Annual Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade.

The big news this week is the number of bands participating this year. These schools are: Fallbrook High School; Great Oak High School and James Day Middle School from Temecula; West Hills High School from Santee; Christian High School all the way from El Cajon; and Orange Glen High School, Hidden Valley Middle School and Escondido High School. Music lovers are advised to arrive early for a good seat, not only to hear the fabulous sounds but to see all the entries up close and personal.

This year’s theme, “Home for Christmas,” will be evident in the many beautifully decorated floats. For a full list of all the participants, be sure to pick up a program as the parade begins. Programs will be available at each intersection of the parade route prior to 5 p.m.

The Budweiser Clydesdales will be in town all afternoon and “stabled” in the downtown area. The Budweiser Company welcomes visitors to visit the Clydesdales as they rest up prior to the parade, and to watch as they are brushed, braided and harnessed for pulling the trademark Budweiser wagon. Final arrangements are still being made for the exact location of the Clydesdales’ “stable” and will be publicized as soon as completed.

The Chamber of Commerce is also delighted to announce that the Platinum Sponsors for the parade are Arlyne Ingold and Supervisor Bill Horn. Many local businesses and individuals are also sponsors of the event. Anyone who would like to volunteer to help on December 2 is encouraged to call Carol Eastman at the Chamber at (760) 728-5845 or Chairman Roy Costello at (760) 728-7375.
