Fire safety tips offered

Last updated 11/17/2006 at Noon

Fire can occur at any time, and in order for homeowners to be prepared, each home should have at least one fire extinguisher. 1. Make sure everyone gets out of the house immediately.

2. Call the fire department.

3. If the fire is small, try to control and extinguish it. However, if it quickly gets bigger, get out right away and be sure to close doors to slow the fire’s spread.
