Palomar College president speaks to Bonsall Rotary

BONSALL — Bob Deegan, president of Palomar College, recently spoke to Bonsall Rotary about the benefits of Proposition M and the proposed satellite campus in Fallbrook. His engaging talk included a little history and a lot of the future. Sixty years ago, Palomar opened with 100 students in Vista on the site of the current Lincoln Middle School. Those 100 students have grown to a current thirty-one thousand!

Proposition M would provide the funding ($694 million) to get started on the Fallbrook 82-acre site at I-15 and SR76 and possibly start a site in Poway plus the master planned redo of much of the San Marcos campus over the next 15 years. The first phase of the San Marcos development would be new nursing and dental facilities.
