Flu shot clinic Nov. 28

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook Hospital will hold a flu shot clinic on Tuesday, November 28, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Joslyn Senior Center. The vaccines are available for people ages 9 and up and are recommended for those who are at high risk of getting the flu based on the guidelines outlined by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control). Those groups include adults age 50 and older, people with chronic medical problems such as heart disease and asthma, women who are pregnant and caregivers and healthcare workers who work directly with patients.

There is no charge for the vaccine and it will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. The preservative-free vaccine now required for pregnant women and vaccines for children under the age of 9 will not be offered. The Senior Center is located at 399 Heald Lane.
