Mixin' it up to promote unity at Live Oak School

What an exciting pre-Thanksgiving week for La Paloma students and staff! On Tuesday, students participated in the nationwide Mix It Up Day. This event encourages students to sit somewhere new during lunch and make new friends. The purpose of the program is to promote social interaction between our diverse population of students. Students then participated in some fun activities during recess, such as an obstacle course (in which some teachers also had a fun time participating!).

On Thursday night, La Paloma PTA sponsored “Dinner and Movie” on the school’s campus for all staff, students and families.

To wrap up the end of the week, La Paloma held an assembly that recognized students for excellent behavior, where Godfrey the Magician entertained students with various tricks while promoting the message to make good choices in school.
