FAA announces winners of Open Juried Show

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Art Association (FAA) announced the winners of its Open Juried Show, held annually at the Art Center at 103 South Main Avenue, at its opening reception Friday, November 10. The show may be viewed daily between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. (except Thanksgiving Day) until November 26 at 3 p.m.

Out of 376 entries, 156 were selected by the juror, Dayna Peterson Mason, to be exhibited. An experienced teacher in drawing, painting and three-dimensional art, Mason has received numerous awards, scholarships and grants in the United States and Europe and has had her work featured in invitational and group shows as well as having had many solo exhibitions. Since 1994, Mason has lived in Temecula and is currently Associate Professor of Art at Riverside Community College after having served as the Chairperson of the Art Department between 1998 and 2004.

The public is invited to vote for a favorite piece while attending the show. The artist receiving the most votes will receive an award of $100, which will be presented at FAA’s December meeting.
