Edward Jones hosting Pension Protection Act update Nov. 29

FALLBROOK — Kent Borsch, the local Edward Jones investment representative, will host a “Pension Protection Act of 2006 Update” professional broadcast course at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, at 5256 South Mission Road, Suite 807. This program explores the numerous important changes impacting tax law areas, including changes related to charitable gifting and the regulation of charities that may impact tax advisers with small- and medium-sized business clients.

This course is approved for two credit hours of continuing professional education and continuing legal education for attorneys, CPAs and tax professionals. Topics covered will include direct contributions from IRAs or Roth IRAs to qualified charities, new record-keeping requirements for cash gifts and gifts of household items, new IRA/qualified plan developments, tax law provisions the PPA makes permanent and new penalty thresholds for valuation misstatements.
