Lavender Dreams: enchanting garden gifts and more

A visit to Lavender Dreams, a magical place inside Fallbrook’s Jackson Square, is more than a shopping experience, it is a welcome respite filled with pleasant scents, vibrant colors and a bevy of enchanting gifts and home accents.

“We have every bit of space filled to the max with gifts right now for the holiday season,” owner Melissa Ross said. “We have taken advantage of every nook and cranny in this shop to hold items!”

Ross opened Lavender Dreams four and a half years ago and says she has adjusted her inventory slightly over the years to make sure she carries what the people of Fallbrook desire.

“Our lavender products are very popular,” Ross explained. “We have heated wraps that are used for aches and paints; we also carry booties.” Her stock of body lotion, shower gel and other aromatherapy items has been extended to violet, verbena and other scents as well as the ever-popular lavender.

Sparkling jewelry – bracelets, pins and brooches – in garden-related designs that include charming butterflies, birds and dragonflies catch the eye as you investigate every inch of the shop. Don’t miss the ‘fairy dust’ – something every little girl would love to find in her Christmas stocking!

Attractive, long-burning, American-made candles are another big seller. Choose from a wide variety of styles, sizes and scents. Botanical candles, as they are burnt, cast a wondrous glow, showing off the textures of the accent material inside.

A variety of sculptures for the garden can be found at Lavender Dreams. Whether you wish to add an angel, fairy or cherub figure to your garden or gift one to a friend or relative, it is sure to bring happiness. Small birdbaths, including tabletop varieties, are offered as well and are high on the popularity list.

Stop in and see the new line of tabletop fountains made of quartz – they are not only attractive but are great conversation pieces! Fountains made of other intriguing materials are available as well.

When creating beautiful gardens and patios, wall art is something that comes to mind for those attractive niches. The selection of wall art at Lavender Dreams makes decision-making difficult. Black wrought iron pieces in a variety of styles add flair to any garden or patio, but the ceramic wall pieces designed by a particular artist (cancer survivor) has special appeal as well.

Finishing touches that can be used inside the home include sun-catchers with bright hues and designs. An amazing selection that depicts exotic birds, flowers and more hang resplendently in the charming shop.

For those who have several friends and relatives to buy for at the holidays, Lavender Dreams is surprisingly easy on the pocketbook – a valued place where the unique and tasteful is not necessarily costly.

“I always try to keep the price in line on everything,” Ross said. “I want to keep the prices affordable so people can buy something nice.” Her customers appear to agree, because she has many who rely on her shop consistently for quick gift stops.

“I want to thank local residents for their support of my shop; I really do appreciate them,” she said.

Lavender Dreams is located inside Jackson Square at 119 North Main Avenue, Suite A, Fallbrook. (760) 451-2343.
