Rotary hears about 'Love on a Leash'

BONSALL — “Love on a Leash” was both the title of her talk and the name of her organization! Nicole Davitz, volunteer for the Pet-Provided Therapy organization, recently spoke to Bonsall Rotary about the many benefits of connecting pets with people who are not responding to conventional methods of care.

Davitz had many stories of how the presence and touch of an animal has lifted many out of depression and physical limitations, all because of the love of an animal. She and her associate volunteers go through a rigorous certification program that certifies them to the medical profession and others as trained, loving facilitators who can bring their animals into hospital and care facilities.
