Voice of Democracy winners honored at luncheon

Honored at the Voice of Democracy luncheon at Fallbrook’s VFW Hall on November

18 were second-place winner Gini Christensen (right) of Oasis High School and third-place winner Ashley Robertson of Fallbrook High School. Amy Anderson (not shown), also of Fallbrook High, won $500 for first place, with second and third places receiving $300 and $200, respectively, for essays on the theme “Freedom’s Challenge.” The contest is sponsored each year by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
