Walk/Run to Feed the Hungry a great success!

Thank you to the many people who walked or ran in the Thanksgiving Walk/Run to Feed the Hungry on Saturday, November 18. We had a very good turnout, with an exciting number of high school and junior high school students coming out for the event, thanks in part to the efforts of Josh Way and Megan McGurk at the high school and the youth leaders of many of our local churches. We had families and individuals of all ages. Some brought their dogs along, too!

We were especially happy to have the support of Honorary Mayor Rhonda Reinke and CROP Walk organizer Herman Van Den Bosch among our participants. Ladies from one of the Club Paradise aerobics classes joined in, thanks to the enthusiastic support of instructor Lola Wheeler, as well as members of the Saturday Running Club.

The volunteer sheriffs, under the able leadership of Manny Ortega, provided assistance with traffic control and made sure everyone was safe during the walk/run. The Fallbrook Food Pantry received over $6,300 from the people in our community who sponsored the walkers and runners for this fundraising event. We are grateful for your generosity and assistance in helping the Food Pantry continue to provide needed support to those in need in our town.
