Hayward Dale "Dick" Lynch, 83

Hayward Dale “Dick” Lynch, 83, passed away November 19, 2006, of natural causes in Escondido, CA. He was born December 24, 1922, in Bluff Creek, TN. Mr. Lynch, formerly of Salinas, CA, had lived in Fallbrook for six months.

Mr. Lynch worked as an accountant for the Department of Corrections for the State of California. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy after serving during WWII, Korea and Vietnam; he was a Purple Heart Recipient for Guadalcanal and was an Iwo Jima survivor.

Mr. Lynch is survived by his wife of 62 years Joyce Lynch of Fallbrook; sons David Lynch, Fallbrook, and Robert Lynch, Mt. Dora, FL; daughters and sons-in-law Nancy & Scott Morgan, Oceanside, Marsha & David Pimental, Lincoln, CA, and Martine Lynch, North Fork, CA; sister Virginia Wooten, Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren Jeff, Jennifer, Rebecca, Scott, Jared, Allison, Sean, Connor, Jessica, Benjamin, Kevin and Brendan; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held November 25, 2006, at North Coast Church and Country Gospel, Vista, CA. His ashes were to be scattered at a later date. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
