Palomar College tuition lowered

SAN MARCOS — With spring semester at Palomar College right around the corner, a new 216-page class schedule recently arrived in local mailboxes with not only a wide variety of classes and programs but also new lower fees.

According to Berta Cuaron, Assistant Superintendent and Vice President of Instruction at Palomar, “We are delighted that the state legislators passed into law a statewide reduction of community college enrollment fees from $26 per credit unit to $20 per unit. This makes the wonderful instructional programs and classes at Palomar more accessible to our students and the entire community who want to pursue their educational goals.”

Starting January 16, the new semester offers a wide selection of classes to suit a variety of needs and interests.

In addition to traditional format, Palomar offers online, television and flexible schedule classes, including short-term classes that start monthly. The class schedule is available at the college’s San Marcos campus, Palomar’s eight education centers, most North County public libraries and the college Web site, http://www.palomar.edu. Those interested may apply for admission to Palomar online at no charge.

The San Marcos campus is located at 1140 West Mission Road, San Marcos. Day and evening classes are also offered at the following locations:

• Camp Pendleton, Building 1331, phone (760) 725-6626

• Fallbrook, (760) 723-1058
