Hilltop presenting one-man play

Created as an epic fairytale with historical interludes, “Kaspar Hauser: The Open Secret of the Foundling Prince” is a one-man play that includes esoteric interpretations as well as the latest scientific research about one of 19th Century Europe’s most compelling figures. An innocent boy, imprisoned in a dark cell for most of his childhood; who committed this crime and why? Who was Kaspar Hauser?

The play is being presented by Glen Williamson, an actor and storyteller from New York and founding member of the Acting Ensemble and New Directions Theater. The off-Broadway run of his one-man play “The Boy Who Saw True” was chosen by Back Stage as one of the five best plays of 1992. Williamson’s repertoire includes Kurt Vonnegut’s “The Kid Nobody Could Handle” and “The Tragedy of Mephistopheles: The Story of Faust” based on the play by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

“Kaspar Hauser” will be performed on Friday, December 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hilltop Center for Spiritual Living, 331 East Elder, Fallbrook. There is a suggested donation of $15.
