Snow, 'Holiday Cirque on Ice' coming to Escondido

ESCONDIDO — It’s not reverse Global Warming or a strange terrestrial fluke. On Saturday, December 2, it will be snowing in Escondido, when the California Center for the Arts, Escondido brings in 18 tons of snow for the kids. Included in the festivities are the center’s annual tree lighting celebration in the Lyric Court, carolers, Santa Claus, cider and free cookies. All this happens between two exciting performances of “Holiday Cirque on Ice” at 4 and 8 p.m.

In the spirit of Cirque du Soleil, Broadway on Ice and the world-renowned Moscow Circus on Ice, Holiday Cirque’s five award-winning performers will amaze guests with stunning feats on ice and in the air, mixing traditional circus acts, daring aerial routines, gymnastics and groundbreaking choreography.

For more information about either event or to purchase tickets for “Holiday Cirque on Ice” (all other festivities are free!), call the ticket office at 1-800-988-4253, visit http://www.artcenter.org or visit the ticket office at 340 North Escondido Boulevard.
