George Walter Caufman,

George Walter Caufman, 84, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2006, in Escondido, CA. He was born April 24, 1922, in Gallipolis, OH. Mr. Caufman was a resident of Fallbrook for 22 years.

As a general contractor, Mr. Caufman worked on commercial buildings in Orange County. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was an avid golfer.

Mr. Caufman is survived by his wife of 43 years, Virginia S. Caufman, Fallbrook; sister Anna Martin, Austin, TX; several nephews; and one niece.

Private inurnment at Riverside National Cemetery is planned for a later date.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 2655 Camino del Rio North, Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92108.
